Access and Pre Access Courses

Advice sessions for 2009 run every Wednesday during term time from March to July at 4.00 and 5.00pm (except Creative Arts which is held every Tuesday at Poplar). You are advised to allow two hours for your assessment. If you have childcare responsibilities, please make alternative arrangements as we are unable to provide childcare facilities during this time. Do you want to go to university?Access courses prepare you for study at Higher Education level and we offer a wide variety of subjects to choose from. We have many strong links with universities and some of our courses will guarantee you a place on a degree course, or an interview. The Progression Diploma programme offers level 2 courses for adult learners and prepares you for employment, Access Courses or a range of vocational courses at level 3. All courses have a strong focus on developing Vocational, Maths and English skills. Learners have the opportunity to gain exam-based national qualifications in literacy and numeracy alongside a full level 2 Progression Diploma. For each course there is a minimum of 12.5 hours of classes per week over three days and quite a lot of private study. Main pathway areas:
