Access courses are for adults who want to study at University but do not yet have the required qualifications. To be successful on the course you need to be prepared for one year of intensive study, including a lot of private study as well as your time in College. For the Youth, Community and Social Work path, you will take vocational subjects related to your course, Psychology, and Sociology or Anthropology, in addition to English,  study skills,  IT and GCSE equivalent maths if necessary. Students usually progress to university to study for a degree in Social Work or a diploma/degree in Community or Youth Work.

Days and Times: 
Full time course 4 days per week 9.30-3.30 (exact times to be confirmed). In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to take the course part-time, with a combination of day and evening study
Who this course is for: 
Adults over 19 wishing to progress to study a Youth, Community or Social work
Entry Requirements: 
Satisfactory completion of English and Maths assessments. At least one year's experience of paid or unpaid work in this field
Where this course might take me: 
Social Work degree courses, Youth or Community work degree/diploma
