You will study children’s nutritional needs and how to manage their health and safety. The course looks at the influences on a child’s development and gives you the skills to provide effective play and practical activities in a range of early years’ services. You will look at group childcare organisations as well as the home care environment.

You will learn through individual and group study, looking at theories and ideas through class work, practical training, role-play, creative work, educational visits, and homework.
