Cycle Mechanics and Engineering Level 2
On the only full time course in Cycle Mechanics and Engineering in London, you will cover topics including: Health and Safety, Workshop Practice and Safety Standards, the removal and replacement of a variety of components including saddles, seat posts, handle bars, brake blocks, wheels, tyres and inner tubes and gear systems. You will also look at wheel building, brake systems, frames and forks, punctures and cleaning.
Progression is to Level 3 or an apprenticeship and future employment opportunities include any industry which has basic mechanical tasks including the Cycle Industry, Maintenance, Sales and Retail or even Motor Bikes, Motor Vehicle, Engineering, Public Transport and Manufacturing & Design.
Due care and consideration will be taken for applications from students with sight or hearing impairments, epilepsy or other issues which may cause concern within the industry under Health and Safety Regulations. Alternative course/career guidance will be offered.
