What is CIDA?

Creative and collaborative - CiDA enables you to make the leap from passive consumers to active producers of quality digital content. It develops your ability to organise yourself and your work and encourages you to reflect critically on your own and others’ use of ICT.
How is it assessed?
There are no formal written examinations. Learners complete a project for each unit and showcase their achievements in an e-portfolio.
With CIDA, you can:
• produce detailed, up-front design documentation
• collect, create and prepare different types of digital assets – audio, video, animation, still images, movies and text – for use in multimedia products
• carry out different types of testing – for functionality, for usability, for accuracy, for impact - and obtain and use feedback from others as an integral part of the development process
• use multimedia assets to showcase your achievements in an e-portfolio
• evaluate the effectiveness of multimedia products you produce and assess the contribution of underpinning processes, such as planning and design, to your success. As well as developing new ICT skills you will be studying English and Math as part of your course.
