This qualification is aimed at individuals who want to work or work as chefs in the catering and hospitality sector.

You will develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the catering and hospitality sector.

You will gain knowledge and experience in a wide range of high quality cooking skills which can be applied across a range of catering contexts.
You will cover units such as:

  • Investigating the catering and hospitality industry
  • Health and safety in catering and hospitality
  • Kitchen operations, costs and menu planning
  • Professional cookery – practical assessments
  • Applying workplace skills

You will also gain work experience in different catering establishments. If you have specific needs such as reading or writing difficulties, you will receive extensive support.
