This course provides you with a core understanding of the process involved in personal financial planning. Helping you to understand the options avaialble for the financial decisions we all make through our lifetime.

The simple structure of this programme enables you to build on your own experiences, of dealing with financial services sector (for example, banks, insurance co's, running personal loans or credit cards) and develop a sound understanding of how to make the most of the services offered by these sophisticated businesses.

You will study 3 units, in class situation, with experienced, qualified staff. As part of the course you will have access to relevant and up-to-date material as well as clear, study material for you to work through. Each unit is tested by a timed exam.

This is a nationally recognized qualification awarded by the Institute of Financial Studies School of Finance. Though there are no formal entry requirements you may prefer to take Personal Financial Planning Level 1 (Foundation Certificate in Personal Finance) first.  Careers in the wider Financial Services industry are introduced throughout the course and we will endeavour to promote dedicated, motivated students for any opportunities for work placement as they arise.

People who wish to know more about finance, through a focus on personal finance. Also a good starting point for those that wish to consider a career in Financial Services.
Entry Requirements: 
No formal entry requirements, you should be able to read and understand english, we can give you extra support if needed.
Where this course might take me: 
Progression on to the IFS Level 2 Diploma in Introduction to Financial Services.
