If you are interested computers and are inspired by art and imagery, then this could well be the course for you.

You will use Photoshop and other computer programmes whilst developing your design skills and learning about websites, the internet, advertising and the media. You will learn how to find, display and communicate information using IT alongside improving English, Maths and Computing.  Work skills are also included in the course, should you decide that employment is the progression route for you, enabling you to develop your communication and social skills.

On this course you will learn about new processes using both traditional and digital techniques alongside developing your ability to communicate orally and in writing.

You will complete a range of projects based around professional briefs.
For example: 

  • Logo Design,
  • Swatch Watch Design,
  • Character design for Computer Games.

Assessment
Assessment is continuous, with plenty of feedback from teachers to help you complete the assignments set. The atmosphere we build upon is creative, encouraging and above all designed to be enjoyable and rewarding.
