ITEC Level 1 Hair & Beauty Certificate with ESOL Support

This is a 3 unit award or a 5 unit certificate. The award consists of 3 units, working in the industry, professional image &
either hand care or shampooing and conditioning. Once the award has been completed the learner can choose either
hair or beauty for the certificate. This is a 5 unit award and consists of the 3 units listed above plus 2 more of the learner’s
choice, they can choose to take either the hairdressing or beauty route at this stage.

Success could progress the learner to Level 2 hairdressing or beauty therapy. There is an additional cost of a uniform and
specialist equipment (TBC). You will also be following a course of Key/Functional skills in IT, Communication and numeracy.

There is also an additional session concentrating on language development. Learners should have an ESOL level of E3’a to be eligible for this programme. We can arrange an assessment on interview.
