This is a 3 unit award or a 5 unit certificate. The award consists of 3 units, working in the industry, professional image &
either hand care or shampooing and conditioning. Once the award has been completed the learner can choose either
hair or beauty for the certificate. This is a 5 unit award and consists of the 3 units listed above plus 2 more of the learner’s
choice, they can choose to take either the hairdressing or beauty route at this stage. Success could progress the learner to Level 2 hairdressing or beauty therapy. There is an additional cost of a uniform and specialist equipment (TBC). You will also be following a course of Key/Functional skills in IT, Communication and numeracy.
