Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Health and Social Care
This course allows you to prepare for a career in a care setting or to progress on to higher level study. You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of care workers in a number of care services and develop the skills to work with people with a variety of needs. To help you make the connection between theory and practice you will carry out assignments and undertake work experience.
Assignments cover issues such as care values, individual development, care needs of people (related to physical or learning disability, age and mental or physical health), communication skills, practical care tasks, health, safety and hygiene.
Assessment is by case studies, projects, and reports and presentations related to College and individual study, as well as your work experience.
