This qualification is designed to bridge the competences required for both IT user and IT practitioner job roles and provide a flexible structure for learners. Core units: • Communication and Employability Skills for IT • Computer Systems • Information Systems • Impact of the Use of IT on Business Systems Other units include: • Website development • Software design and development • Installing and maintaining home entertainment systems

Who this course is for: 
This qualification is suitable for learners who wish to progress directly into employment n ICT and for those who wish to gain more understanding of the applications of ICT as a basis for other jobs.
Entry Requirements: 
4 GCSEs at grade D and above, including English and Maths.
Where this course might take me: 
Successful learners can progress to a variety of qualifications including the BTEC National Diploma for ICT Practitioners or other National Diploma qualifications. Alternative Level 3 qualifications include the GCE in Applied ICT and the GCE in Computing.
