Year 2 specialist options in Urban Architecture, Fashion & Styling, Sustainable Design and Interior Design

This course involves studying 2D and 3D visual language through a dynamic programme of creative projects and
assignments. The first year involves working with a wide range of disciplines covering drawing, painting, graphics, 3D design,
computer design and fashion and textiles. The emphasis is on problem solving and helping you to realise your creative
potential. You will also study critical and contextual studies to complement your practical and theoretical understanding of
other artists’ work. 

In the second year you will complete specialist design projects covering areas of fashion, illustration, jewellery, sculpture,
graphics, 3D, packaging and knit and surface design. You will also work on projects with professional artists and designers. Second year students can apply for a £5,000 bursary with international law firm Allen & Overy. In addition, successful students will have their work exhibited in the firm’s City offices.

Entry Requirements: 
Five GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language. You will need to attend a portfolio interview.
Where this course might take me: 
You can go on to Higher Education applying for a foundation or honours degree in a variety of subjects including fine art, sculpture, stage and theatre design, fashion and textiles, 3D product and eco design, architecture, graphic design, package design, jewellery, ceramic and craft design.
