BTEC First Diploma in Media Level 2
Investigate the meaning of media in its broadest sense, from film, photography, print journalism, television and radio to the Internet and virtual reality. You'll explore the exciting world of video making, special effects, photography and digitising sound to make radio adverts. Alongside this practical work you'll also take contextual studies and learn about professional studio practice.
During the course you'll learn a range of visual, written and oral communication skills using both traditional and digital technologies. Assessment is continuous, finishing with a major project at the end of the year that demonstrates your developing skills. You will also have a portfolio of creative work that shows your creative ideas, technical skills and an underpinning theoretical knowledge.
