We aim to provide you with:
- a teaching qualification that fulfils Government requirements for Skills for Life teachers in the Life-long Learning sector
- the foundation for developing your competence as a Literacy or ESOL classroom practitioner
- knowledge of current government policy and other initiatives in post-compulsory education and training
- the knowledge and ability to reflect constructively on your professional practice
- a number of credits that can be taken forward for further study at MA level.
Entry Requirements:
- Success at interview and initial assessment
- The provision of an acceptable Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau
- Ability to study at university level
- A high level of spoken and written English
( And for Year 2 Only):
- A minimum of 3 hours of Literacy or ESOL teaching per week
- A recognised qualification and relevant experience of teaching ESOL or Literacy
