Employer Opportunities

Employers are important to the success of the Fresh Futures programme. During the life of the project, the overwhelming response from employers is that they are keen to assist with the development of local communities so that they can recruit a more diverse local workforce.

The Fresh Futures in Financial Services overall aim is to provide good quality staff from the local area to meet local business needs. The project has allowed us to develop integrated support systems ensuring that local people can make the grade in a range of Financial Services roles; resulting in placements into Front, Middle and Back office roles from high pressure investment banking environments to business support. This is achieved through the provision of:

  • Good quality matrix accredited advice and guidance to local people
  • Appropriate employability training
  • Mentoring
  • Financial Services qualifications
  • Work experience

During our work with employers we ensure that their company ethos is embedded into training our candidates. (see Case Studies section) . Opportunities for employers include:

  • Supporting local recruitment events (see news and events section)
  • Working with us to develop local recruitment initiatives such as work experience or the provision of temporary job positions to local jobseekers
  • Providing mentors to Tower Hamlets College students or jobseekers
  • Providing open days for students and jobseekers to give an overview of how to progress in a company or specialisation
  • Providing information and literature on recruitment and progression in your company
  • Sponsor the National Skills Academy for Financial Services

We have also obtained Quality Kitemark Accreditation for our work with employers from the Financial Services Skills Council, a clear indication that services we provide are with employer’s as well as jobseekers, interests at heart.
