Tower Hamlets College has taken its fictional plane out into the heart of Poplar, to Chrisp Street Market.

Heads certainly turned, and eyes possibly boggled, when the usual clothes and food stalls were joined by 6 plane seats, an airTHC air hostess and in flight entertainment.  More importantly there were staff and students on hand to give our advice about courses and enrolment, as well as information on the Employment Solutions Centre.

“It’s really fun to be on the market at the hub of our local area.  We get to chat to loads of people to let them know what’s going on at College, and how THC can help people get the future they want.  There’s a great atmosphere around the plane too,” said Amina, one of the student ambassadors.

Literally hundreds of people flocked to see the slightly extraordinary sight of part of a pretend plane in the market – a plane that can take you wherever you want to go, and one that is fully equipped to help you out on that journey through numerous support systems, great facilities and a great on board team of dedicated staff.

airTHC, not just a College but the flight path to your future.
