Tower Hamlets College has added two more courses to its growing number of Higher Education (HE) options.

The Higher National Diploma in Advanced Studies in Early Years, which runs for two years, is the equivalent to the first two years of an undergraduate degree programme. Learners can also progress into the final year of a degree course upon successful completion. This programme can lead to careers in Teaching, Paediatric Nursing, Social Work, Psychology and Early Years Setting Management.

There are many modules to choose from which means that students may customise the course according to their interests and experience. We call this personalised learning.

The second course now available is the Foundations Degree in Financial Services, which is run in collaboration with the Open University. It combines academic study with work related learning to equip students with relevant knowledge and skills.

So why choose to study at Higher Education level at a college?

• With the ever rising amount of student debt which many learners leave higher education with, it pays to live at home whilst studying, something which is easy to do when attending college.
• Tower Hamlets College fees are lower than most other other FE Colleges and university and it’s better value for money – students have more contact with tutors, are taught in smaller groups and are part of a strong and supportive learning community.
• THC has strong connections with local employers, so it may be easier to find a job after study.
• We put emphasis on vocational learning which is highly beneficial in the current competitive job market and all courses are delivered by highly qualified and industrially experienced Academic Practitioners.
• Colleges are regulated by the same agency as universities and the quality of the courses is no different.
