Business Studies Dragon’s Den Presentations
A group of BTEC National Business student have worked with staff from Fujitsu and Thomson Rueters on an exciting business project overseen by Business Dynamics. Students worked with staff from the two companies over two days and attended seminars on key aspects of marketing, finance and other areas of business.
Students then worked in teams with the business personnel to come up with a business, financial and marketing plan. At the end of the two days students presented their business plan to the “Dragons “in a ten minute pitch.
Students found the event to be a challenging experience. They were under pressure to work to a tight deadline, but they managed to pull together in their separate teams and gave informative and interesting presentations. Students describe the seminar as a “challenging and exciting opportunity.”
The “Dragons” were very impressed by the presentations. One dragon spoke about how impressed he was by “how much they had managed to get done in just two days, the team spirit and professional approach”
The Dragons’ were so impressed by the presentations that they decided to fund both projects.
