We arrived at Havering College confident from our previous outing, and spirits were high. We had a slightly depleted squad compared to our first fixture due to college commitments and swine flu, but we still had 14 gifted players ready to continue our good form.

All this went out the window when our ‘talented’ coach decided to start with 3 at the back. Havering sliced us open like butter within 30 seconds and we were 1-0 down. Well done AJ, excellent tactical awareness once again, did anyone check this guy’s coaching qualifications!?

The THC manager stepped in to solidify the formation and tactics, and we started to dominate. Chances were flowing; it’s a shame that Kem’s footwork wasn’t. When he finally found the back of the net on his sixth attempt, he managed to fall over and miss-kick it in the process, but we were back on level terms and in control, well done Kem.

All our domination and possession was undone when Havering struck with 10 minutes to go, another sloppy goal conceded, very frustrating. Final whistle and final thoughts, we were the better team and should have won, but slightly weak in the tackle throughout, time to get these boys to the gym I think!
