The Curriculum and Youth Work Training Forum (CYWTF) is the lead forum for co-ordinating, developing and delivering youth work training/Curriculum development and courses for people aged 16 years and above, who are working with young people aged 13 to 19 years in Tower Hamlets Youth and Connexions Service (part of the integrated youth support service).

Tower Hamlets College, LBTH Youth and Connexions Service, Poplar Harca, Old Ford Housing, George Green School, Bishop Challenor School, Swanlea School Consortium and other voluntary sector organisations represent the forum in developing, planning, organising and decision-making as a management body.

The role of the forum is to:

  1. Develop a training and curriculum strategy for everyone involved in working with young people in the borough.
  2. To devise and deliver new types of youth work training and curriculum development.
  3. To create a pool of trainers/assessors from the community who will deliver a range of training borough-wide.
  4. To enable workers to develop knowledge, skills and the ability to develop their work practice, personal and professional careers.
  5. To ensure a wide variety of accessible training and curriculum is on offer based on meeting the government requirements and quality assurance needs for youth work.
