Our 14-16 education includes New Arrivals - a specially designed provision for those 14-16 year olds who recently arrived in the UK from overseas - and New Horizons - for those students who enjoy school work, but find school life challenging.
Our GCSE results for this group of students are excellent, with our results this year standing at over 80% success for grades A*-C. Our key stage 4 provision in both New Arrivals and New Horizons, offers students tuition in core subjects including English, maths and science as well as a range of other GCSE and vocational options to enable the students to then study a wider range of qualifications in the next year.
The provision will include study in:
- Physical Education
- Personal and Social Development
- Religious Education
- Business and Communication Studies
- Food Technology
- Beauty Therapy
- Lens based media
- Motor Vehicle Technology
Students can study these subjects at different levels up to GCSE level. All students will benefit from small class sizes, language and learning support access to pastoral care and counselling services, should they need it.
Our students feel safe and supported and as well as progressing academically, they have the opportunity to build their confidence and settle into their new environment.
