Higher National Certificate in Business
This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to achieve success. The HNC in Business is a recognised qualification designed in cooperation with employers to provide you with a solid understanding in business operations valued by employers as well as prepare you to study at undergraduate level at university.
Higher National Certificate in Health and Social Care
The course consists of taught elements, an individual research element, and a vocational element requiring students to have a minimum of 200 hours in a range of placement settings. Assessment will be via a range of coursework assignments, including a portfolio of evidence, presentations, timed essays, reports, and research tasks.
This qualification provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in this sector and their national recognition by employers allows direct progression to employment. Another key progression path for HNC learners is to the second year of a degree or honours degree programme, depending on the match of the BTEC Higher National units to the degree programme in question.
Higher National Certificate in Interactive Media
This HNC course keeps pace with the demands of the dynamic and fast-moving industry and will ensure that you are introduced to the latest skills, technologies and working practices for developing interactive media.
You will be given the opportunity to develop practical work skills by getting involved with real world projects and competitions. You will gain essential knowledge by studying the theory and concepts behind interactive media through shared core units that will introduce you to creative thinking techniques, ideas, development, traditional skills, composition, design and layout, typography, and colour theory. This core knowledge will underpin the specialist units in graphics and illustration, web creation and motion graphics.
