Polish visitors exchange ideas with Tower Hamlets College
On Friday 24th January Tower Hamlets College welcomed a delegation of teachers and professionals from schools in Poland as part of an EU funded programme encouraging schools and colleges from across Europe to share their ideas and experiences in vocational training and education.
The visit, arranged under the auspices of the EU’s Leonardo da Vinci project, saw the Polish visitors learn about Tower Hamlets College, its teaching facilities and methods and get an understanding of its approach to school management and teaching.
The visitors who were from the Complex of Secondary Schools in Rydultowy visited the College’s teaching faculties including its Hair and Beauty salon, Science labs and technical workshops and enjoyed a traditional fish and chips lunch prepared by catering students at the College’s Canary View restaurant.
They commented on how impressed they had been with the College’s flexible curriculum and commitment to inclusiveness and how they would take away lots of ideas to implement back in Poland.
